IRDL

University of South Brittany

The Dupuy De Lôme Research Institute is a CNRS Joint Research Unit.

Reference laboratory for mechanical systems in Europe related to the engineering of materials and systems used in industrial sectors related to the automotive, energy, aeronautics, health, transport and more particularly all areas in dynamic interaction with the marine environment, such as shipbuilding and offshore, marine energies.

Mechanical systems in marine environments

The IRDL's range of scientific and technical expertise is very broad. However, the decision was made to structure it into five "Thematic Research Poles" (PTRs), the scope of which is based on scientific coherence and effectiveness. It is clear that these five poles are not mutually exclusive. A significant number of projects will require strong interactions between researchers from different poles.

Research activities are focused on the identification and characterization of polymer, fibrillar or mineral meso-structures exhibiting dynamic structuring.

Research activities focus on the development, characterization and modeling of techniques for assembling materials of different natures.
